Before there was time,

What were You thinking?

How did You spend all of Your days?

You thought of me

You knew my form

You knew my failings

But even though You knew the grief You would bear

And the costly price You would have to pay, You said:

Let's create Man in Our image

Let them be My daughters and sons

And though they will fail and won't think of Me

I will give Myself away

To bring them back

So they can have what We had before there was time

Before You created

Before You placed the first star in the sky

The Father and Son

With Spirit, one

Overflowing joy and love

But even though You knew the grief You would bear

Safety, pleasure, and abundant wealth

A trouble-free life without a fight
